To mark two years since the beginning of our Horizon 2020 project, all partners decided to organise the first physical meeting to create some project memories. It was a common wish in many online meetings, and thankfully, it became a reality after the travel restrictions loosened. So, the event took place in Athens on the 22nd of September and was hosted by our project coordinator, TWI Hellas.
The physical character of the meeting offered fertile ground for discussions, so the agenda was structured to facilitate the design process of the project activities and operations in every country. The project partners took the floor and presented the respective reviews of their work. Their focus was on the current progress and achievements, as well as reviewing existing and arising risks that should be taken into consideration. Additionally, moving towards the project’s third year, trending topics were system integration, end use-cases and dissemination-related activities.
After all, matters had been covered; the consortium started conversing about options for our next meeting place, which ended up being the city of Stockholm, one of the places where RISE Institute has its facilities. Last but not least, the consortium had dinner in the historical neighbourhood of Thiseio and did some longed-for team bonding in the post-Covid era.
